Birthday Parties

The Naperville Area Humane Society offers fun-filled two-hour parties for children that start with an educational talk and a behind-the-scenes shelter tour. A Party Coordinator will help you with game and craft suggestions. The children will be able to take photos and interact with our shelter animals depending on availability of appropriate animals and comfort level/behavior of party guests. And, of course, there is time for presents and cake!

  • Minimum donation of $175 (weekdays) or $200 (weekends) is required and includes: services of a Party Coordinator, educational talk and shelter tour, materials for a craft, and a special gift for the birthday child. We require a 50% deposit when the party is booked.

  • Food and drinks are not supplied by the Naperville Area Humane Society, but you are welcome to bring pizza, cake, goodies, drinks, decorations, etc. at your own expense.

  • Parties are scheduled year round, by appointment only, during times that our shelter is not open to the public. Scheduling depends on Party Coordinator availability, so we ask that you schedule birthday parties at least two weeks in advance.

    • Weekend parties are held from 9:30am-11:30am Saturday or Sunday, and weekday parties are scheduled when we are not open to the public.

  • Space is limited to 10 children and no more than 15 people total.

  • Location: Naperville Area Humane Society, 1620 W Diehl Rd, Naperville, IL 60563

Thank you so much for all you did for Megan’s birthday party. She had a great time and so did her friends. More importantly, I know everybody learned something about being kind to animals.
— The Blood Family
My favorite part of having my birthday at NAHS was that we got to meet all the animals and learn their names. I loved that I got to cuddle with a kitten. All my friends had fun meeting and playing with the animals.
