Generous financial contributions help make the Naperville Area Humane Society a leader in animal welfare and humane education in our community. The Naperville Area Humane Society receives no government funding and, while we have "humane society" in our name, we receive no funding from the Humane Society of the United States. Private donations are critical to our continued success, because they provide resources that make an immediate impact on the animals and the community we serve.
Other Ways to Donate
The Naperville Area Humane Society is always in need of funds and supplies that allow us to continue caring for dogs and cats in our community. We offer several programs for making financial gifts and donating supplies.
Make a gift in honor or memory of a family member, friend, or pet.
The Lucky 7 Fund
The Lucky 7 Fund was established to provide veterinary care and grooming for older dogs and cats in our care. The Lucky 7 Fund also underwrites the adoption fee for qualified owners choosing to adopt a senior dog or cat (7 years and older). Please click the "Make a Lucky 7 Fund Gift" button below, designate your financial donations to the Lucky 7 Fund in the "Additional Information" field in the form above, or visit the shelter to make a Lucky 7 Fund donation in person.
For those donors who want to leave a lasting legacy to the shelter through their estate plan or have made large gifts during their lifetime. These special gifts will help the Naperville Area Humane Society ensure the care and protection of the pets that bring so much joy to our lives. See our Humane Heroes on our Partners page.
To make a provision for the Naperville Area Humane Society in your estate plan, please download the Humane Heroes form to complete and mail to the Naperville Area Humane Society.
With our Putts for Pets Golf Outing and our Black Cat Ball & Casino Night, the Naperville Area Humane Society gives supporters the opportunity to have fun while helping the cats and dogs! Putts for Pets is a great day of golfing and includes games on the course and raffles as part of the festivities. The Black Cat Ball & Casino Night is an evening of dining, dancing, live and silent auctions, and casino. We encourage people to participate in these events by attending and/or providing auction items as well as sponsorship. For more information on sponsoring our signature events, view our Events page or contact Anna Payton, Executive Director, at (630) 420-8989 x 111 or at email@example.com
Many companies will match employees’ charitable contributions through payroll deductions or matching gift. Ask your Human Resources department if your employer offers such programs.
Pavers for Pets
Pavers for Pets is an opportunity to leave a lasting imprint of your dedication to the Naperville Area Humane Society and pave the way to a bright future for the pets and people involved. Engrave your name, a pet's name, a family member's name, or the name of a club or organization on a commemorative brick. Choose between a 4" x 8" or an 8" x 8" brick and customize the name or message. Your engraved brick(s) will be used to pave the area by the entrance of the shelter. Download the Pavers for Pets form, complete, and mail to the Naperville Area Humane Society.
As you can imagine, the Naperville Area Humane Society goes through a lot of dog and cat food as well as cat litter, towels, bleach and other supplies. Drive by the shelter on any given day and you'll see our message board showing the items for which we have the greatest need. Items can be dropped off at the shelter every day between 8am and 5pm using the service entrance. Please also view our current Wish List of items and supplies.
Aluminum Cans and other Metals
Did you know you can drop off aluminum cans and other metals in the open trailer in the the Naperville Area Humane Society’s parking lot? Aurora Metal Recycling collects the contents of the trailer as needed and rewards us for your efforts. You can also post a sign at work to collect aluminum cans on behalf of the Naperville Area Humane Society.
