About Newt

Estimated Date of Birth: 5/12/2023

Male

Hi, I'm Newt! I'm a buff ginger tux boy who is likely to start off a bit shy and independent. I need a bit of time and space to adjust to new surroundings and new people. One way to get me comfortable with you and in my new home is to play with me, then I'll forget I'm nervous. I like all the good toys, but especially string, and if you drag it, I'll stalk it and catch it!

When I need some space, I'm happy to sit on a cat tower and chill. I have a high, squeaky voice and can be pretty chatty. I sometimes set boundaries when I need space, so please go slowly with me and learn my body language. Because of this, I might not be great around small kids who won't understand how to "read" me. There's a lot of love in me, I just need time and space to adjust, and I would prefer to be in a teenage and up household. I'm worth the wait, if you're willing to meet me where I am. Come in and see me; we might be a purrfect fit!
