Volunteer your way to a free…
After School Program Session, One-Day Camp, or Homeschool Heroes Session!

This is a new opportunity for families who are looking to enroll their children in our programs and may not have the funding to do so. In lieu of a scholarship program, the Naperville Area Humane Society would like to offer a volunteer for tuition opportunity so that all children in our community have the chance to take a class with us.

This opportunity is for children ages 10+ (children must be accompanied by an adult 18+) to volunteer with our humane education department. Eligible volunteer shifts include leading shelter tours for scouting groups and/or coordinating birthday parties.

Tours for scouts occur Thursdays from 4pm-5pm, and birthday parties are weekends from 9:30am-11:30am. Each hour volunteered will go toward an hour of class (i.e. 6 hours volunteering would be eligible for one session of the After School Program). The schedule is very flexible, and the scheduling of shelter tours and birthday parties are contingent on volunteer’s availability.

There will be an opportunity to shadow a shelter tour and birthday party prior as well as an informal training to ensure new volunteers are equipped with the knowledge needed to be a Naperville Area Humane Society ambassador.
