Puppy 101

Puppy 101 is an open enrollment class (with 5 date options for the summer session). Each week will have a focus on a particular topic, as well as integrating appropriate, monitored puppy socializing.

Dates: Wednesdays at 6:15pm (Sept. 8, Sept. 15, Sept. 22, Sept. 29, Oct. 6)
Ages: Puppies up to 4 months of age
Location: Naperville Area Humane Society, 1620 W. Diehl Rd., Naperville
Cost: $25.00 per class (pre-registration is required)

PUPPY 101 Description: This is a 50 min open enrollment style class. We will focus on a specific topic each week and if time allows, some appropriate puppy play. What to bring to classes: Blanket or mat, lots of treats, a clicker, 6 ft leash, collar and/or harness. Limited to 2 people per dog (children under the age of 10 are not allowed at this time).   • Week 2 - What is appropriate socialization?

  • Week 3 - How your puppy is communicating with you, and how to respond.

  • Week 4 - Husbandry and why it is important.

  • Week 5 - Enrichment
