Hi, I’m Cooper! I’m a sweet, loyal guy who’s ready to be someone’s best friend for life. I love long walks, yummy treats, and getting lots of pets - especially from my favorite humans. I’m easy to walk, have a gentle spirit, and will happily curl up with you on the couch after some playtime. I’ve lived with cats before and might do well with a calm, older, or smaller dog, but I’d be happiest as your one-and-only pup. I prefer a calmer home with adults or older teens (16+) who understand that sometimes I need a little space, especially around my special stuff (like food, toys, or "found treasures." I need someone who understands resource guarding and can respect my space. I don’t always show my discomfort in obvious ways, so my person will need to learn how to "speak Cooper!" Once we connect, I’m the most devoted companion you could ask for. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and totally sweet pup to share your life with, I just might be your perfect match. "I had the privilege to take Mr Cooper to the park today! He was an absolute pleasure and I love him even more now. He told me about his day on the way to the Park. When we got there he was so quiet throughout the whole walk. He saw a couple of dogs, scurrying squirrels, men, women pushing strollers; all without any reaction. He was just happy to walk and sniff. 

 

He relaxed on top of a shady hill overlooking the pond. He drank cool water, ate some chicken and watched all the activity around him. He was so calm the whole time and quiet on the way back. He was the best boy!"
